[email protected]Currently the Eagle Academy Head Boys Lacrosse Coach and Director of Boys and Girls Middle School Lacrosse at Eagle Academy/Mott Hall IV.
A native of West Hartford, CT, Coach O’Meara brings extensive playing, coaching, and camp experience to Breakout Goaltending. Coach O’Meara has coached collegiately for 15 years including stops at Springfield College, Western New England College, Holy Cross College, and Adelphi University. O'Meara has coached two All-America goaltenders as well as several All-League and All-Conference goaltenders.
Prior to his arrival on Long Island, Coach O’Meara founded and directed New England Developmental Lacrosse Camps, Inc. A 1993 graduate of then Division I power University of New Hampshire, O’Meara was a captain and two-time All New England selection at Midfield. Currently,
O'Meara also serves as the Head Coach at Eagle Academy.
Brian SoperCo-Founder/Director
[email protected]Soper, a native of Hicksville, New York, hosts an impressive lacrosse resume. The Head Coach at Oyster Bay-East Norwich HS (2009-present), Coach Soper has helped develop numerous youth and high school goaltenders. Duke University and Siena College as well as several Division II and III programs have had a Soper tutored goaltender as a starter.
During his career at Adelphi University, Coach Soper was two-time USILA All-America selection and a 2001 National Champion. In 2001, Soper captained the Adelphi National Championship team in and was named to the STX Scholar All-America team.
Goalie Instructors
Breakout Goaltending is staffed by the finest clinicians for both boys and girls that Long Island has to offer. Breakout Goaltending hires additional shooters to maximize the teaching abilities of the goalie staff. High level playing and teaching experiences are a must for all staff members.
